Virginia D. Imbiorski, 90, Michigan City, IN, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 8:26 a.m. in The Arbors of Michigan City.
She was born September 7, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank and Pauline (Wozniak) Barkowski. On November 9, 1940 in East Chicago, IN she married Stephen Imbiorski who preceded her on March 17, 1988.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Sandra (Reggie) Czizek of Michigan City, Indiana, and Claudia Szymaszek of Hammond, IN; a son, Timothy Imbiorski of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren, Darrel, Darrin, and Darrick Czizek, Michael (Janet) Szymaszek, Mark (Angie) Szymaszek, and Renae (Kevin) Brumfield; 9 great-grandchildren, D.J., Brittany, Tyler, Mike, Nicole, Kyle, Jacob, Justine, and Janelle; and 4 great-great-granchildren, Trey, Evan, Ryan, Anthony.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kelley Czizek; son-in-law, Tom Szymaszek; a sister Martha and 4 brothers, Harry, Clem, Henry, and Donald.
She retired as a clerk from Jupiter Department Store.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and a volunteer at the Michigan City Senior Center. She enjoyed being with her family.
